Birmingham Adult Education Service is one of the largest providers of Adult Learning opportunities in the West Midlands. We offer over 3,000 part time courses each year at main sites and local community venues across Birmingham.  Each year over 25,000 learners choose to learn new skills with us.

"My Voice" Project

My Voice is a Birmingham Adult Education Service writing event for learners enrolled in our Writing Development classes. Initially conceived as a project for Adult Learners' Week 2012 the quality of work submitted led us to believe that we had an important collection of Birmingham voices that needed to be heard.

In January 2012 we received the results of the online survey carried out by our funders last year. A total of 1,568 of our learners on Learner Responsive (FE) courses completed the on-line questionnaire.

In their Learner Views survey they found that people on our courses were overall more satisfied with the service they got than adult learner on courses with other providers in Birmingham.
